    Multimedia Audio Controller

Windows update loaded 3 upgrades today, one of which was related to Creative audio (my soundcard). After the re-boot I have a conflict in device manager. Under 'other devices' in Device Manager, I have 'Multimedia Audio Controller' showing a problem. Clicking properties of this item shows NO driver installed. I've searched around (including KB) and found no fix. Anyone any ideas?
    Thanks in anticipation.
    Regards

Download the latest drivers for your card direct from Creative.

Also check that onboard sound is not enabled in the BIOS.

Drivers are normally not something that Windows Update pushes...Anyways can you perform a driver rollback or maybe a system restore?

You are right, however on some occasions i see drivers under the "Hardware" Section of windows updates. I ignore, and go straight to manufacturer website
