PWSteal.trojan
Norton has detected this on my system but cannot delete or repair the file. I followed the instructions on their website for removal but to no avail - scanning in safe mode was no problem, file was found and deleted. Then I started up again in normal mode and it popped up again.
Symantec has other methods of deleting this but the files they are suggesting I look for aren't there. It's infected the nsvc.dll file in Windows - please help! |

Hello Chefgirl30 - perhaps one of the online scanners will do the trick: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
http://www.pandasoftware.com/product..._principal.htm Must use IE to run though |

You might even find more bad things ![]() The "nsvc.dll" is the file the trojan drops, you might need to find the program that's regenerating that file. Last edited by FastGame; April 20th, 2005 at 10:44 AM. |
