I've read those, and they don't solve the problem because when I try to run the version of outlook express from my old hard drive the current version of XP i'm running now opens it as the new version of outlook express. The same thing happens when i try to run the old regedit. Windows doesn't let you do that. I need to figure out how to edit the registry files from my old windows XP install on my old hard drive.
