To move the NIC, you have to open the case. On the very back of the case you will see the NIC, your Dialup modem, etc... You might need to move the NIC into another PCI slot, they are usually white slots about 4-6 inches long, and about a half inch thick. There should be 2-7 slots on your motherboard for PCI peripherals.. Just move it from one slot to another. Make sure that your ethernet cable is disconnected before moving it.

I think however that a reformat will most likely fix this, though I don't know why in the hell it doesn't work now. I have a 56K modem and a broadband modem and they work fine in my PC.
